Paramore have recently become ghosts on the internet i.e. deleting all their content off Instagram and Twitter accounts. Upon entering paramore.net users are met with an error 404 page.

This comes after the band completed a year long tour for their latest Grammy nominated album This Is Why.

However, the band has broken their silence by sharing a snippet of their contribution to the upcoming Talking Head’s tribute album Stop Making Sense produced by A24.

In the teaser, Paramore vocalist Hayley Williams eagerly rushes to open a package containing David Byrne’s famous oversized suit. The camera then pans over Paramore guitarist Taylor York and drummer Zac Farro, and finally back to Williams holding a Stop Making Sense mixtape.

In reference to the Stop Making Sense concert film Williams says, “I have a tape I’d like to play you.”

Paramore will be covering the 1983 hit “Burning Down The House.” They are the first of 16 artists to pay tribute to the Talking Head’s live album.

This collaboration has been long anticipated since the band met and posed with Talking Head’s vocalist David Byrne backstage at their headlining show at Madison Square Garden back in May 2023.

Paramore has also sighted Talking Heads as a major influence since they traded in their signature pop punk riffs for a more new wave inspired sound in their 2017 album After Laughter.

An official date for the Stop Making Sense tribute album has yet to be announced, but nonetheless it will be very exciting to see what other names will appear on the record.
